Sick of using those old, boring fonts on your computer? Learn how to add tons of new fonts!
Installing fonts onto your computer is actually not as hard as it may seem and should take you no more than a minute or two once you get the hang of it. This tutorial was designed for windows users, but I'm sure non-windows users can apply these steps as well.
[1] First of course, you need to download new fonts off the internet. There are many sites to choose from but not all are free, so try dafont.com or 1001fonts.com. Find and download the fonts you want (try downloading just one for now) - save them in a folder you'll easily find, like your documents or desktop. (You should probably make a separate folder so it doesn't get lost among other files - lets call it 'Downloaded Fonts'.)
[2] Once you've downloaded your font, open folder you saved it in. Extract the file if it's compressed (?). If it's not compressed, skip to the next step. Right click the file. Each computer may have a different right click menu, but you should see an option that says 'extract all' or 'winzip > extract'.

[3] After extracting, you might see a bunch of files - not all of them are the font files. If your not sure which is the font file, look for one of the three icons below, near the file name. You can delete any other files.

[4] Now you should be left with only fonts. Go to the start menu, and click 'Control Panel'. Make sure its on classic view (?) and click 'Fonts'. Switch back to the downloaded fonts folder, select the fonts, and copy and paste them into the 'Fonts' folder.

[5] Close both font folders (and if you want, delete the fonts in your 'downloaded fonts' folder that you already installed) and that's it! You can use the new fonts in any program!
